Terms & Conditions

Version 1.0 · ECO Shuttles & Cabs · Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape

Cancellation: ECO may apply a R250 cancellation charge where applicable. Any cancellation charge remains subject to applicable consumer law and must be reasonable in the circumstances.

1. Booking confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when ECO has accepted the booking and, where required, full payment has been received. A booking reference is issued for online and admin-created bookings.

2. Pricing and quotations

Online fares use ECO's configured route prices. Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quotation. Prices may be updated for future bookings. Manual quotations may be required for routes or group movements that cannot be priced automatically.

3. Airport passenger pricing

Airport base fares include up to 3 passengers. Each passenger above 3 attracts an additional R277 per passenger. Return bookings are charged according to the configured return fare.

4. Local group bookings

Local online fares cover 1–3 passengers. Local bookings for more than 3 passengers require a personalised ECO office quotation and are not automatically charged through the online fare calculator.

5. Cancellation

A customer may request cancellation. Where applicable, ECO may deduct a R250 cancellation charge from a refund or otherwise apply the charge. The amount and application remain subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the cancellation.

Where applicable consumer law provides a special cancellation right, that right is not excluded by these terms. ECO will consider relevant circumstances including notice given and its ability to reallocate the service.

6. Refunds

Refunds are processed according to the payment method, the booking circumstances and applicable law. A cancellation record does not by itself mean that a refund has already been processed.

7. No-show and waiting

Passengers should be ready at the agreed pickup time. Delays or no-shows may affect the service and any additional waiting or recovery arrangements will be communicated where relevant.

8. Flight bookings

Customers should provide the correct flight number. Flight information is dependent on the available airline/flight data provider and should not be treated as a guarantee of airline operations.

9. Passenger responsibility

10. Luggage and special requirements

Customers must disclose unusual luggage, accessibility needs, child seats, equipment or other special requirements before the trip. Vehicle suitability depends on available capacity.

11. Vehicle and driver allocation

ECO may allocate an appropriate vehicle and driver based on passenger count, availability, operational requirements and safety. A specific vehicle may be requested but is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed.

12. Delays and force majeure

ECO is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, strikes, accidents, traffic incidents, public emergencies or airport/airline disruptions. ECO will communicate material operational changes where reasonably possible.

13. Safety and conduct

Passengers must wear seatbelts and comply with applicable road-safety requirements. Alcohol, dangerous goods, abusive behaviour and conduct that creates a safety risk are not permitted. A driver may refuse unsafe or unlawful transport.

14. Payment

Payments are made by EFT using the banking instructions provided by ECO. Customers should use the booking reference as the payment reference and submit proof of payment. A transfer or submitted proof is not confirmation that funds have cleared. ECO verifies bank deposits before marking a booking PAID.

15. Personal information

ECO uses booking information to provide transport, communicate with customers, administer payments, issue invoices and maintain operational records. Information is handled according to applicable privacy requirements.

16. Booking records and changes

Changes to an existing booking may affect the fare, availability and allocation. Admin changes are recorded in ECO's operational records.

17. Loyalty rewards

ECO may issue one-use reward codes with the discount and expiry date shown when the code is offered. A code must be used with the phone number linked to the reward, can be redeemed once, and cannot be combined with a backload discount.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in South Africa, subject to mandatory consumer and other legal rights.
